朝鮮民謡「トラジ」による祝典序曲

『トラジ』（桔梗謡）は『アリラン』と並んで二大朝鮮民謡とされており、ペンタトニック（ヨナ抜き）による素朴な旋律で歌われる詞は、国は違えどどこかノスタルジーを感じさせる。『トラジ』の旋律は序奏、中間部のワルツ楽想、終盤のトゥッティ部に出現し、その他の部分はオリジナルの旋律による。

本作は2015年に開催された第6回A.ドヴォルザーク国際作曲コンクールの第2ラウンドにおいて、プラハで作曲した3分半の管弦楽小品を元に、中間部を新たに書き足して吹奏楽にオーケストレーションし直したもの。小編成を念頭に置いているためやや厚めに楽器が重ねられている。参考音源には入っていないが、オプションパートのハープが入るとより華やかさが増すだろう。

国立音楽大学大学院修士課程作曲専攻、フランス・リヨン国立高等音楽院第2課程作曲科、ベルギー・モンス王立音楽院修士課程指揮科を修了。

これまでに久石譲主宰「Music Future Vol.9」第4回Young Composer's Competition優勝、第14回オルレアン国際ピアノコンクール作曲部門A.シュヴィロン=Y.ボノー作曲賞、イル=ド=フランス国立管弦楽団の作曲コンクール「 le de cr ations 2018」優勝、第6回A.ドヴォルザーク国際作曲コンクール第1位および特別賞、日本現代音楽協会第27回現音作曲新人賞などを受賞。

2024年10月にはベルギー・シャルルロワで開催された第42回アンドレ・シャルリエピアノコンクールの課題曲に『ソリチュード』が選出、2018 年にはラジオフランスの番組「Cr ation mondiale」にて、オーケストラ作品『In the circle...』を中心とした特集が放送された。

2025年現在、国立音楽大学非常勤講師、日仏現代音楽協会会員、アンサンブル・リカレンス音楽監督／指揮者。

CELEBRATION OVERTURE ON A KOREAN FOLK SONG "DORAJI"：Composer: Tetsuya YAMAMOTO

“Doraji,” together with “Arirang,” is regarded as one of the two representative folk songs of Korea. Its simple pentatonic melody and lyrics―originally about the balloon flower―convey a sense of nostalgia that transcends national borders. The melody of “Doraji” appears in the introduction, the waltzinspired middle section, and the tutti near the end, while the other sections are based on original material.

This work is a reorchestrated wind band arrangement of a 3.5minute orchestral piece I composed in Prague for the second round of the 6th International Antonin Dvorak Composition Competition in 2015, with a newly written middle section added for this version. The instrumentation is somewhat layered to accommodate a smaller ensemble. Although the reference recording does not include it, adding the optional harp part will bring even greater brilliance to the overall sound.
