カルミアの歌

題名にあるカルミアは5～6月頃に咲く花で、紫陽花のように小さな花が集まっています。花言葉は「大きな希望」。

このカルミアは花の形状が五角形のように見えることから曲中に5拍子などの奇数の拍子を織り交ぜています。また、拍子感や調性感が曖昧で展開も忙しなく変わりますが、おおよそソナタ形式に沿っています。

この作品はフルート奏者菅野力氏のデビュー10周年を記念して企画された作曲公募のために書き、そのテーマが「旅立ち」や「希望」ということで、短三和音から始まり長三和音で終わる「暗から明」の手法を取り入れています。
伴奏のピアノはハープの書法を参考にしてより軽やかで浮遊感のある楽曲に仕上げました。(冨田一樹)

冨田一樹(Kazuki Tomita)

日本大学芸術学部音楽学科作曲コース卒業。

幼少期よりピアノに親しみ、中学校で吹奏楽部に入部しオーボエやパーカッションを始める。

大学にて作曲を峰村澄子、オーボエを庄司知史の各氏に師事。

また、今までにピアノやチェンバロ、アコーディオンで演奏活動の経験を持つ。

CHANT DE KALMIA

Kalmia, which is included in the title of this piece, is a flower that blooms around May to June. It is similar to hydrangea in that it is a cluster of small flowers.

In the language of flowers, it means a great hope.

Since kalmia flowers have a shape that resembles a pentagon, I have mixed quintuple meters and other odd meters into the song.

In addition, the song is more or less a sonata, even though the meter and tonality are ambiguous, with rapid changes to the progression.

I wrote this piece in response to an open call for composition in commemoration of the 10th anniversary of Chikara Sugano's debut. Since the themes included "setting off on a trip" and "hope," I incorporated the method of "dark to light" by starting with a minor triad and ending with a major triad.

With regard to the piano accompaniment, I referenced methods of writing music for harps for a song that is airy and gives off the sensation of floating.
