祝典序曲「未来への扉」

80周年を祝い、これからも未来へ向けて発展するよう願いを込めて、そして冒頭の金管のファンファーレが「扉を叩く」リズムを連想しましたので「未来への扉」とさせていただきました。

曲は4/4のゆったりと堂々と歌い上げる前半と、6/8のテンポの速い快活な後半の2部構成になっています。

委嘱をいただいた本庄第一高校の先生は自分の出身高校の後輩で、彼の指揮をしている後ろ姿を思い浮かべながら作曲しました。故にこの曲の中には創立記念の華々しさの他に、友情が表現されていると思います。コンクールに使えると思いますが演奏会のオープニングなどにも最適な曲です。(福島弘和)

福島弘和(Hirokazu Fukushima)

東京音楽大学卒業。同大学研究科修了。

オーボエを浜道晁、作曲を有馬礼子の各氏に師事する。現在、吹奏楽やオーケストラなど作編曲活動をする。また、演奏にパフォーマンスやコメディーを加えたアンサンブルポアールで演奏活動をする。

1999年朝日作曲賞、2003年下谷作曲賞、2007,2012,2013年下谷奨励賞、2010年日本管打吹奏楽学会アカデミー賞作曲部門など受賞する。

2001年国民文化祭、2008年全国高校総合文化祭の創作音楽を手掛けている。

21世紀の吹奏楽「響宴」会員。主な作品：「ラッキードラゴン」「シンフォニエッタ祈りの鐘」ほか

CELEMONIAL OVERTURE KNOCKIN ON FUTURE’S DOOR：Composer: Hirokazu FUKUSHIMA

This piece was written in November 2003 to celebrate the 80th anniversary of HonjoDaiichi High School. In addition to serving as a reference to the rhythm of the brass fanfare at the beginning of the piece, which is reminiscent of someone knocking on the door, the title "Knockin On Future’s Door" also captures my best wishes for the school's journey in the future.

The piece comprises two sections: a first half that is leisurely and majestically performed in a 4/4 rhythm, and a faster and livelier second half with a 6/8 rhythm.

The teacher who had commissioned this piece was my junior at my high school, and I have composed this piece while imagining the back of him as he is conducting. I believe that the piece embodies both the festive atmosphere of the school's anniversary and the bonds of friendship.

This piece can not only be used for competitions but is also perfect as the opening piece of concerts.
