らいおんダンスと虹
この曲は、香川県の打楽器奏者・吹奏楽指導者の佐々木裕健氏の委嘱で作曲しました。
獅子舞の踊り、ヴェールがかった虹などをアイデアにしながら作曲しました。
楽曲は合奏的な単一のリズムとテンポ・アドリブの自由なポリリズムを考えて、更にはソロのカデンツァも含めて構成されています。
2017年のアンサンブルコンテストで世界初演されました。
演奏上の注意点として、記譜法において16分音符が続く部分の「音符の縦の線」が省略して記譜されている箇所が前半部分に何ヶ所かあります。
これは意図的にそのように書いていますが、演奏法としては通常の16分音符だと思って頂ければと思います。
Lion Dance and Rainbow was commissioned by Hirotake Sasaki, a percussionist and the wind music leader in Kagawa, and was premiered in 2017.
This piece portrays a traditional Japanese lion dance and a rainbow covered with a veil.
The piece for percussion ensemble uses alternate notation indicating pitches without exact rhythms to allow unique interpretations for every performance.
Every player has a cadenza passage near the finale of the piece, which ends with a flourish.
