ちょっと演歌風の「ふるさと」

誰もが知っている懐かしい唱歌を、演歌風にコーティングしてアレンジしてみました。

原曲のイメージ通りに編曲するのが正解かもしれませんが、これには訳があります。

実は、知り合いのサックス・カルテットより、老人ホームでの慰問コンサートのレパートリーになる曲を、というリクエストを受けていて、それに応じた曲の一つなのです。

老人ホームの方々には、いわゆるクラシックの名曲なんかはあまり歓迎されず、喜ばれるのは、昔の映画音楽だとか誰もが知っているヒット曲、それに、童謡、唱歌、演歌だということを教えてもらい、それなら、一つ唱歌を演歌風に料理してみるか、と思いついた次第です。

演歌らしさを強調するために、有名な名曲演歌のイントロとか間奏を意識的に引用してありますが、それが何という歌なのか推理してみるのも一興かもしれませんね。

簡単に分かるとは思いますが。(笑)

Enka is a popular Japanese music genre characterized by melodies based on the Japanese pentatonic scale and singing with a slow vibrato (kobushi).

Although it is a relatively modern musical form, it is considered to resemble traditional Japanese music in performance style.

This arrangement was commissioned by my friend for a sax quartet to play at a nursery home where the residents preferred film themes, popular, folk and enka songs over classical music.

To make it more like enka, I quoted a famous enka in my introduction.
