歌劇「カヴァレリア・ルスティカーナ」より　前奏曲とシチリアーナ

この曲は、ジョヴァンニ・ヴェルガによって書かれた戯曲を元にピエトロ・マスカーニが作曲したオペラです。

このアレンジは、そんなオペラの中で最初に演奏される前奏曲とシチリアーナをクラリネット八重奏にアレンジをしたものです。

曲のイメージを残しつつ、8声で構成出来るよう配置や動きを工夫しています。

コントラアルトクラリネットが無い場合は、オプションで付いているコントラバスクラリネット及びストリングベースをご利用頂ければと思います。

Consid ered one of the classic verismo operas, it premiered on 17 May 1890 at the Teatro Costanzi in Rome.

This arrangement contains music from the opera’s Overture and Siciliana that appears later in the opera.

Despite being composed for full orchestra, this version for eight clarinets cleverly adapts the original music to create a very playable and satisfying piece.

Although this arrangement can be performed alone, it is best used in consort with Yoshino’s “Highlights from Cavalleria Rusticana , also available from Nexuss Music.
