ベル・クレピュスキュール
タイトルは、フランス語で「美しき黄昏」を意味します。前半は、夕暮れ時のテーヌ川ほとりから見える風景をイメージしながら優しさに満ち溢れた情景を描写しています。
川面に揺らぐ夕日、徐々に点灯する街路灯、ゆったりとした時間をそれぞれ贅沢に過ごしています。
やがてダンスホールでは社交ダンスでワルツが踊られ、楽しく優雅な時間を過ごしています。
曲では後半部分がその部分にあたります。
2つの違う曲想で構成されていますので、それぞれの曲想を違ったアプローチで表現して魅力ある演奏をして頂けたらと思います。
Belle Cr puscul or “Beautiful Dusk” is my portrayal of a relaxing visit to France on a beautiful day.
In the first section, the music paints a scene filled with the gentleness one might see viewing the scenery on the shore a long Seine River on a beautiful day.
One might enjoy a relaxed and luxurious time watching a reflection of the sunset in the surface of the river and the street lights gradually turning on as the last glimmers of sunshine fade into the West.
In the second part, the music depicts people waltzing in a dance hall to a delightful, lilting melody.
To acheive greatest effect, performers must strive to achieve the greatest contrast necessary between the two styles.
If they succeed, I am confident audiences will truly enjoy this piece.
