4人のサクソフォン奏者が疾走する様なイメージで作曲しました。作曲当時、大学3年生でした。プロのサクソフォン奏者になるという夢に向かって頑張っていた時期。そんな未来に向かって突っ走る気持ちがこもっていると、今になって感じます。

アルトサクソフォンのパートには、ソプラノの音域を越えた高音が出てきます。これは、クローバー・サクソフォン・クヮルテットのアルト奏者、田村君のフラジオの演奏に感動した為です。（林田祐和）

Strange Run Four Colors

I composed this piece visualizing four saxophonists running at full speed. I was a junior student in Tokyo University of the Arts at the time. It was the time when I was working hard to make my dream come true, the dream of becoming a professional saxophonist. The piece certainly possesses the passion of moving toward the future in hindsight.

There are notes written higher than the range of the soprano saxophone. These are inspired by Mr. Tamura, the alto saxophonist of Clover Saxophone Quartet, playing Flageolet.
