星の欠片 ～プログレッシブ・ロックの印象～

スポットライトに照らされてステージに立つサクソフォンは、まるで星屑の様に輝き、音楽の宇宙を見ている様だ。四つの星がぶつかり合い、広い宇宙の中で一瞬の輝きを見せる。そんな様子をサクソフォン四重奏で表現するイメージで作曲しました。

曲は激しく流れる導入に始まり、ぶつかり合って散り散りになった星たちが、やがて静けさの中でゆっくりと渦を作り始めます。段々と緊張感を増し、花火の様に弾け、宇宙の彼方に消えていくという流れになっています。（林田祐和）

Fragments of Stars

Saxophones twinkle as stardust on stage, reflecting spotlights. It looks as if we were gazing at the universe of music. Four stars crash into each other, casting a flicker of light… That was the impression I portrayed with saxophone quartet while composing this piece.

The music starts with torrential introduction, crashing and scattering fragments of stars, and slowly, they begin to swirl in silence. It becomes more and more intense, sparks like fireworks, and dissipates into nothingness in the Universe.
