交響詩「テセウスの旅」

アテネの王エーゲウスは、年に一度、クレタ島の迷宮を守るミノタウロスという神話の怪物に、7人の若い乙女と7人の若い男を生贄として捧げなければなりませんでした。

息子のテセウスは怪物を殺すことを決意し、若い男1人として身代わりになりました。

クレタ島のミノス王の娘アリアドネは、テセウスと恋に落ち、金の糸巻きと奇跡の剣を与え、ミノタウロスを倒したテセウスが迷宮から戻る道を見つけることができるようになりました。

THESEUS' JOURNEY SYMPHONIC POEM IN THREE PARTS：Composer: Kris ROEMERS

Once a year, Aegeus, King of Athens, had to sacrifice seven young maidens and seven young men to the mythological monster, called Minotaur, guardian of the labyrinth on the isle of Crete.

His son Theseus decided to kill the monster and took the place of one of the young men.

Ariadne, daughter of King Minos of Crete, fell in love with Theseus and gave him a spool with goldthread and a miraculous sword thus enabling Theseus to find his way back out of the labyrinth after having killed the Minotaur.
