ガーデン・イーフラット
今回のアルバムのために書き下ろし。今回は転調を避け、吹奏楽で演奏しやすいEs Durの曲にしました。
借用和音まではOKという自分ルールで書き進め、転調は1回しかしていません!E♭調の範囲内、つまりE♭の庭のなかで1曲をまとめました。
全体の和声がシンプルになった結果、借用和音や途中数小節間がF Durに転調する、などの少しの変化がより効果的に聞こえるようになったと思います。

石毛里佳(Rika Ishige)
東京藝術大学音楽学部作曲科卒業。
吹奏楽曲やアンサンブル曲が、Pierre lafitan、アコード出版、ブレーン、CAFUAレコード、ウインドアートなどの出版社から多数出版・録音されている。これまでに作曲を尾高惇忠、宮本良樹、佐藤博の各氏に師事。主な作品に、「碧い月の神話」(3Fl.)、「おもいのことのは」 (Wind.orch.) などがある。また「Muta in concerto」 (Solo Sax & Wind.orch.)が2007年度下谷奨励賞受賞。

IN THE GARDEN E-FLAT：Composer: Rika ISHIGE
This piece was written for the album in the key of Eflat major, which is easy for concert bands to perform.
Adhering to my own rule of using only borrowed chords, I wrote this piece with only one modulation! This piece was written almost entirely in the key of Eflat, or in other words, in the garden of Eflat.
I believe that the simplicity of the overall harmony of the piece has allowed its minor transformations, such as its borrowed chords and the modulation to Fmajor for several bars in the middle of the piece, to make a more effective impact.
