金管四重奏曲第一番「天空への賛歌」

この曲は、金管中低音（トロンボーン2、ユーフォニアム、テューバ）のアンサンブルの為に2019年に作曲されました。

全体は、現代音楽風の和声と調性の組み合わせでできており、現代音楽風の和声のファンファーレで始まり、その後に続く調性音楽のフレーズでユーフォニアムが美しい「賛歌」を奏でます。その後、現代音楽風の速いテンポの激しいフレーズを経て、最後にもう一度「賛歌」が演奏され、曲は壮大に幕を閉じます。

2020年にこの曲は5重奏版に改訂され、2020年第1回日本ブラスバンド・アンサンブル・ナショナルチャンピオンシップ全国大会にて第3位を受賞しました。

HYMN FOR THE SKY AND HEAVENS ABOVE FOR LOW BRASS QUARTET

This piece was composed in 2019 for a mid/lowerrange brass ensemble.

Overall, the piece utilizes a combination of contemporary musical harmony and tonality. It opens with a fanfare that features contemporary harmony, which is followed by the euphonium playing tonal phrases that give rise to a beautiful "hymn." After an intense section written in a contemporary style and played at a high tempo, the piece finally closes with a powerful coda following a recapitulation of the "hymn."

This piece was arranged for a quintet in 2020, and its performance won the third place at the 1st Japan Brass Band Ensemble National Championships in 2020.
