ジュヴナイル：今村愛紀 [吹奏楽大編成]

大江戸シンフォニックウィンドオーケストラ委嘱作品。

団員のほとんどが20代という若い奏者たちで構成される楽団からの委嘱ですので、「若い」ということに着目した作品です。

叫びたくなるような挫折、夢もしくは憧れ、恋、根拠のない自信、自己中心的な考えや行動などといった、思春期的な心理状況を音に綴っています。あの時、七色に輝いて見えていた様々なものは時が経つにつれ、または現実を目の当たりにするにつれ、輝きを失って色あせていってしまいます。

作品に関わるすべての方の中でそれがいつまでも輝けるような、もしくはその失われた輝きを取り戻せるような・・・そのような作品であって欲しいと願います。

楽器編成

JUVENILE

Juvenile was commissioned by Oedo Shymphonic Wind Orchestra, a group primarily made up of musicians in their twenties. As a result, the music is youthful in character and portrays the emotional life of young people. Themes that represent despair, adoration, love, confidence without grounds, and egocentric thought or action all appear. Through the developments section Imamura shows how the youthful bravado that shines with prismatic colours eventually fades and mellows as maturity sets in. The composer’s hope is that playing his piece will restore some of the lustrous shine of youth and restore some of that bravado in musicians of all ages.
