タイトルの「Hand Over」とは『手から手へ渡す』という意味があります。
これまで長年にわたって築き上げてきた伝統や歴史に敬意を表すとともにその活動を讃え、明るくパワフルで、そして華やかなイメージで作曲しました。
曲はポップスマーチ風の曲調です。
コンサートのオープニングや、最後のアンコールなどに最適かと思います。

技術的にはそんなに難しくしていませんので、しっかりテンポとリズムに乗って軽快に軽やかに演奏して頂ければと思います。
ドラムセットは楽譜にとらわれすぎず、個性あるリズムで演奏して頂ければ結構です。

Hand Over was commissioned by the Akita Nihoka Highschool Wind Ensemble to celebrate the school band's 40th anniversary in 2017. The term “hand over” usually means to pass something from one person to anothe r. In this piece, Abe musically symbolizes students “handing o ver" the tradition and history of music making at the school to those who follow them when they graduate.
Hand Over is a march in the pop style, filled with brilliant melodies and powerful harmonies. As such, it would be suitable as a concert opener or closer toa program.
