ハンガリー舞曲集 より 第１番・第３番・第１０番

全部で21曲ありますが、中でも管弦楽用に編曲された第5番が有名です。

このアレンジは、ブラームス自身が1873年に自身の指揮で演奏会で取り上げるため管弦楽用に編曲した第1曲、第3曲、第10曲を、吹奏楽編成用にオーケストレーションし直したものです。

「急ー緩ー急」の構成になっていますので、コンサートで取り組んでも比較的面白く聞ける構成ではないかと思います。

少々難易度はありますが、演奏効果の高いアレンジになっていますので是非チャレンジしてみて下さい。

The suite consists of the first collection (No. 1 to No. 5), the second collection (No.

6th to 10th), 3rd (11th to 16th), 4th (17th to 21st). It is said Brahms advised Dvorak to compose “Slavic Dance Collection” because of the success of these songs.

Originally, the dances were written as a four handed piano pieces, but later Brahms orchestrated the first, third and tenth for full symphony orchestra.

In this arrangement for a concert band, the first and third movements are the in the same key as those in the original piano version, but the 10th is raised to F major, which is what Brahms chose to do when he wrote the orchestra version.

My version closely parallels Brahms’ orchestration but I have adapted parts to take advantage of the wider colour pallet a wind ensemble offers.
