プロコフィエフが書いた数少ない吹奏楽作品のひとつです。

前後半は少しおどけたような旋律と遊び心満載のハーモニーで進みますが、中間部は一転叙情的な旋律へと移行します。

このアレンジは、金管五重奏（Trp.1&2, Hrn. Trb. Tuba）にユーフォニアムが加わった六重奏版です。

難易度は少し高めですが、是非チャレンジして頂きたい作品です。

演奏は少し速めのテンポの方が快活な感じが出て良いのではないかと思います。

It is one of the few works he wrote for wind band.

The mar ch is constructed in three parts with beginning and ending sections that feature comedic melodic writing contrasted against a lyrical middle section.

Prokofiev reused substantial portions of the piece in Story of a Real Man, his last complete opera, composed in 1948.
This arrangement is for brass sextet consisting of two trumpets, horn, trombone, euphonium and tuba.

When performed at the brisk tempo the composer intended, it requires good technical skill from the performers.

Performers should strive to bring the composer’s humour to light in their interpretation.
