タンブーラン
作曲をしたゴセックは、管弦楽から室内楽・声楽曲まで幅広く作品を残しました。交響曲のような大作はもちろん、演奏時間の短かい教育的楽曲も多く、中でもヴァイオリンの為に書かれた「ガヴォット」は世代を越えて特に知られています。
「タンブーラン」というタイトルは、フランスの民俗楽器「タンブーラン」から取られています。
後に舞曲となったそのリズムが全般に散りばめられたこの曲は、「ガヴォット」に次いで多く演奏されている作品と言ってもいいでしょう。
このアレンジは、原曲の通りリズムを最大限生かしたものにしました。
とても短い曲なので、コンサートの幕開けやアンコールピースにピッタリです。
Francois-Joseph Gossec wrote a wide range of music for many combinations of instruments and voices, from chamber ensembles of two or three to symphony orchestras.
One of his contributions in addition to the master works written for large ensembles are his many educational studies, especially the “Gavotte”, composed for violin.
Tambourin was originally composed for flute and orchestra and is from the larger work “Le triomphe de la Republique ou Le camp de Grandpre”, a divertissement-lyrique.
This delightfully bright and lyrical arrangement for clarinet quartet is is suitable as a concert opener or encore.
