ソナチネ

ラヴェルといえばエキゾティックで自由な音楽を書くイメージですが、実は18世紀 ウィーン古典派の音楽を高く評価し、その様式を自身の作品に取り入れることもありました。

ピアノのために書かれたソナチネもそうした作品で、伝統的な3つの楽章からなっています。

＜第1楽章＞中庸の速さで
2つの主題によるソナタ形式。エオリア旋法が使われている。

＜第2楽章＞ムニュエ（メヌエット）の速さで
中間部を持たないメヌエットを緩徐楽章としている。

＜第3楽章＞生き生きと
自由なロンド形式、ロンド・ソナタ形式とも解釈できる。ドリア旋法が使われている。

難しいパッセージを交代で演奏するように書かれていますが、なめらかにつながるように演奏してください。

第1、第2楽章では繊細なタッチが要求されますので、反応が良く柔らかい音の立ち上がりを意識してください。

Sonatine for the piano is such a work, written in three movements.

Yoshino manages the difficult technical demands of the original by distributing passages equally across all the players in the quartet.

Everyone has his or her turn to carry the theme but performers must take care to ensure continuous lines are clear and passed seamlessly to achieve the greatest effect.

The second and third movements demand careful attention to tone and articulation to recreate the delicate touch of the original.
