このアレンジは、そんなオペラの中で最初に演奏される前奏曲とシチリアーナをクラリネット四重奏にアレンジをしたものです。

曲のイメージを残しつつ、4声で構成出来るよう配置や動きを工夫しています。

別版「ハイライト」と一緒に演奏しても演奏効果は高いと思います。

Consid ered one of the classic verismo operas, it premiered on 17 May 1890 at the Teatro Costanzi in Rome.

This arrangement contains music from the opera’s Overture and Sicilianathat appears later in the opera.

Despite being composed for full orchestra, this version for four clarinets cleverly adapts the original music to create a very playable and satisfying piece.

Although this arrangement can be performed alone, it is best used in consort with Yoshino’s “Highlights from Cavalleria Rusticana , also available from Nexuss Music.
