歌劇「デモフォンテ」序曲
ケルビーニは1788年12月2日に王立音楽院（パリ・オペラ座）で初演された歌劇「デモフォンテ」でパリにデビューしました。華やかな舞台と壮麗な音楽が特徴の3幕からなる叙情詩の形式のオペラで、19世紀のフランスで人気を集めたグランド・オペラの先駆的作品とみなされています。
オーボエ・バスーンなど、重要なパートについては他の楽器にも楽譜にキューとして記載されているため、より限定的な楽器編成にも対応できるような編曲がなされています。

DEMOPHON OVERTURE
Cherubini made his Paris debut with D mophon, which premiered in 1788. Tohru Takahashi has arranged this dramatic overture for concert band, with specific parts for oboe, bassoon and saxophone among others. However, since the important parts are also included as cues in the score, it can be adapted to a more limited instrumentation.
