1982年東京都生まれ。東京音楽大学卒業、桐朋学園大学研究科を経て東京芸術大学大学院修士課程修了。これまでに作曲を有馬礼子、池辺晋一郎、糀場富美子、権代敦彦、安良岡章夫の各氏に師事。第1回全日本吹奏楽連盟作曲コンクール第1位受賞。

クラシック、現代音楽を中心に作曲活動をしてきたが、2009年全日本吹奏楽コンクール課題曲「躍動する魂」の作曲以後、吹奏楽作品を多く作曲、各社より録音、出版されている。

I composed this song with an aim to create music that tells a story. It evokes the types of stories that people imagine―whether it is about their past or their future―as they look up at a night sky that is full of shining stars. It has been composed to have clear distinctions in tempo from slow to fast to slow. It begins with a secondinversion chord that leads to a chorale before the tempo accelerates rapidly to resemble a whirlwind of emotions. Once the stormlike segment passes, calmness returns, as the song goes on to show a mild expression. The tempo increases slightly at the end for a splendid finish.

They key point when performing this song is to make an attempt to give off a more grand impression at the beginning. Please aim to create a beautiful resonance for the accompaniment also as if this is a chorale, rather than simply singing the melody. Since the main motif of this song is the melody that starts with A, I believe it would be best to be mindful of this part while looking at the phrase of the entire song. Although the tempo increases from D, I would like you to do your best to get as close as possible to the specified tempo. Racing through this part with courage would probably lead to a more natural performance than carefully producing a slower tempo. The music becomes more quiet from M, so I hope that you can produce an expression that elegantly contrasts the parts from before and after. For the segment after O, please perform it with a wealth of expression, as if to sing it beautifully. From Q, close out the song with a magnificent vibration for the grand finale.
