16beat bounceは、意外と触れる機会の多くない音楽かもしれません。まずは歌ってみたりなどして、少しずつこの特徴的なリズム感に慣れていくように練習をしてみるといいのではないかと思います。初演時はアドリブでカホンが入っていました。お好みでパーカッションを付け足してみるのもいいかもしれません。演奏会でのレパートリーなどとして、ぜひチャレンジしてみてください。

RHYTHMICAL FAMILY

This piece was composed in 2016 after it was commissioned by a saxophone quartet called "Rhythmical" with whom I had a close relationship in college. The vibrant and elegant style of this piece was inspired by the magnetic personality of each of the quartet's members as well as their aggressive music.

16beat bounce is a style of music that you may not have had many opportunities to become familiar with. It may be a good idea to practice it by singing along until you gradually get the hang of its unique rhythm. A caj n was used for the ad lib section during the premiere of this piece, and you are welcome to include your favorite percussion instruments when performing it. Please try to give this piece a go as part of your concert repertoire.
