大阪教育大学教養学科芸術専攻音楽コース卒業。同大学大学院芸術文化専攻修了。作曲を澤田博、北川文雄の両氏に師事。

主な作品に、バリトン独唱と管弦楽のためのカンタータ「倭建命 流離譚」、トランペット八重奏曲「四季の奏鳴」など。吹奏楽作品に、「火の断章」（2008年度全日本吹奏楽コンクール課題曲）、「Bye Bye Violet」、「愛の祭壇」など。

I believe that winter has always been the season when humans go up against the violent forces of nature, although the same can be said for summer now. Yet, winter has a distinctive beauty with a dreamlike quality. Although seasons will always continue to shift, I have always wished that I had the power to stop the changing of seasons after spring arrives. This is because spring is the season of frenzied action. In the same way, perhaps we can think of winter as the season of hope when silence is in conflict with the germinating seeds of life.

While this piece can be performed with a minimum of 13 musicians, optional cue notes have also been included in many sections. However, the piano section cannot be omitted as it is essential for carrying the main musical motif in the slower sections.
