石川県を訪ねたときに出会った伝説をもとに作曲しました。
恋路海岸（こいじかいがん）というロマンチックな名前の海岸が能登町にあり、そこから見附島にかけてのビーチは恋愛成就の聖地とも言われているそうです。しかし、恋路の由来として地元で語り継がれているのは、悲しい恋物語でした。
曲は、その伝説をもとに場面場面を描いています。

冒頭、そんな物語を知っているかのような穏やかで切ない海を表しています。その後物語の登場人物の「鍋乃」のテーマを全体で奏でます。曲は少しテンポを上げ二人の恋の様子、楽しく穏やかな日々を描きます。そして、不穏な空気を醸し出し曲はアレグロへと進み、悲しい物語と言われる理由の場面を描きます。やがて曲調は穏やかになり、物語の終盤を描きます。この悲しい物語を読みイメージして演奏してみてください。（樽屋雅徳）

樽屋雅徳(Masanori Taruya)

1978年千葉県銚子市生まれ。武蔵野音楽大学音楽学部作曲学科卒業。佐藤博、宮本良樹各氏に師事。

フランスで吹奏楽曲「Ardent Overture」を出版。代表作として「絵のない絵本」「民衆を導く自由の女神」「マゼランの未知なる大陸への挑戦」「ラザロの復活」「マードックからの最後の手紙」などがある。

全国の吹奏楽団やマーチングバンドからの委嘱も数多く、その作品の多くが国内外問わず広く演奏され、日本でもっとも人気のある作曲家のひとりである。また、作曲・編曲の傍ら、吹奏楽指導やコンクール等の審査員、執筆活動などでも多くの成果を挙げている。

2004年 2018年まで銚子市立銚子高等学校の音楽監督を務めマーチングコンテストで全国大会へ、吹奏楽コンクールでは東関東大会、東日本大会へと導く。

現在はベルモンテウィンドオーケストラの指揮者・音楽監督を務め、指導者としても高い評価を受けている。

I-I-REN-REN

I composed this piece based on a legend that I came across when I visited Ishikawa Prefecture.

In the town of Noto, there is a beach called Koiji Beach. This is a romantic name because koiji means romance in Japanese. The coastline stretching from Koiji Beach to Mitsukejima is even said to be a sacred place that helps to deliver fulfillment in love. However, the etymology of the name Koiji Beach as it is recounted by locals is a sad love story.

The piece depicts each scene of this legend.

The beginning represents the ocean that is calm and sad, as if it knows about this story. Then, every part of the piece is devoted to themes related to Nabeno, who is a character in the story. The tempo picks up a bit, as the piece captures the love between the couple, along with the fun, peaceful days that they spend together. Then, the piece takes an ominous turn and depicts the scene that makes this a sad story in allegro tempo. The melody then becomes calmer as the end of the story is portrayed.
